The stay was a delightful experience, especially given how close we were to the Modena Cathedral and the Estense Gallery & Library, both just a short walk away. I really liked the retro style of the Queen Suite. the decor felt fresh and made the room cozy. Breakfast was a treat each morning, delivered right to us and featuring some delicious Italian options. Plus, the owner's help with the parking pass was really appreciated since parking in the area can be tricky.

We had a wonderful stay in the Queen Suite. The room was very clean and stylish, furnished with retro decorations that added charm. Each morning, breakfast arrived right on time, featuring a curated Italian selection that we thoroughly enjoyed. The location was superb, within walking distance to the central cathedral and other landmarks in Modena. Plus, the host was very helpful in providing a parking pass.

There was scaffolding outside affecting the view.

Curated Italian breakfast with fresh croissants.

The air conditioning was inadequate and barely cooled the room. Despite the vintage decor being charming, the creaking antique furniture became quite bothersome during the night. Also, I found that the room had a distinct lack of modern amenities, which made my stay less comfortable than I had hoped.

we had a lovely stay at il fonticolo room & breakfast during our couple getaway. the room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was delivered right to our room each morning! we were close to the town center, making it easy to explore modena.
